Stingy Publisher Rejects Post Level Text Link Ads Order
In my last post, we reviewed a way to promote affiliate offers using Post Level Text Link Ads. Unfortunately, the blog owner cancelled my Text Link Ads order before I had a chance to collect some statistics from Google Analytics and Commission Junction.
Here’s what the e-mail from Text Link Ads said:
Hello Tarik,
We are sorry but at this time we can no longer maintain your 20 Tools To Make your Ipod Better ad for $6.80 in Order #TLI00064917. The ad has been cancelled and you now have a $6.80 credit in your account to purchase new ads. You may login to your account and pick out a replacement and once a new ad is placed into your shopping cart the credit will automatically be adjusted. We are sorry for any inconvenience and feel free to contact us with any questions.
I was a bit lazy at the time and created a direct link to the product page, instead of linking to a relevant landing page. The site owner probably recognized this, and deleted the order immediately. Guess he didn’t want to share the wealth or traffic
Post Level Text Link Ads Suggestion: Link to a Relevant Landing Page
If you’re going to try the affiliate method on Text Link Ads, try linking to a quality landing page, rather than straight through your affiliate link to make your Text Link Ads campaigns stick.
In a future post, I will create a dedicated landing page then implement the same methods from my Apple iPod campaign. Any results will be posted here later.

Well, I guess that’s a lesson learned… “Don’t be lazy!”
