8 Must Have Items For Your Home Office

Your home office is your kingdom of business; It deserves plenty of attention, detail, and care. When I first started out working online, my home office was a complete disaster. It was comprised of an old wooden desk, dying Dell notebook, and half-broken wooden chair. Since then, I’ve upgraded my home office and it’s feels great
Below is the breakdown of items that appear in my personal home office. Many of these items are must have features for a truly kick-ass office space.
Core Home Office Essentials
Computer - HP Pavilion w2207 + a6257c PC

After struggling with my Dell Lattitude Labtop for months, I invested in a HP (A6257) 22″ Pavilion Desktop PC with Intel Core 2 Duo Processor E4500, 2,048MB DDR2, 320GB HDD. The wider flat screen improves your productivity and is easier on your eyes. The PC supports all popular disc formats, and is highly customizable in terms of RAM and speed. HP is the best computer manufacturer, period.
Desk - Lifetime’s Folding Table Top

Most offices have wooden desks, but I found Lifetime’s Folding Table Top much more effective as a table. It costs $35 bucks, and weighs less than 15 pounds. You can fold it up and store it in a closet if you’re short of space. Best of all, the table doesn’t bear scratches or nicks because the table top is plastic-like
Office Chair - Black Leather Executive Chair

You can get a high quality leather office chair from Target for only $50. It’s highly adjustable (can tilt back and swivel 360 degree), and quite comfortable. I recommend it for anyone who needs a quality chair for a reasonable price, especially if you experience back pain with your current chair.
Note: For those with severe back pain, use an exercise ball as your office chair. It works.
Must Have Goodies
Everlast Extra Strength Wood Handgrips
Hand grips will improve your strength in your hands, wrists, and forearms by simply squeezing the two wooden pieces together. A set of 2 costs $10, and it’s a great way to build some strength while sitting at your desk.
Logitech USB Desktop Microphone
Video is red hot right now (plan to vlog once a week soon), and if you have used Camtasia before, then you are familiar with creating videos from scratch. In order to add clean and crisp audio to your videos, I recommend Logitech’s USB Microphone. A must have for people interested in recording audio and video presentation.
My Future Upgrades
Get Better Speakers
My old speakers got broken, so I plan to invest in a set of Logitech Z2300 Speakers. For about $99, you get around 200 watts of sound plus a nice 8-inch subwoofer included. Pretty good deal!
Get a Better Printer
My current office printer is nearly 10 years old! Hopefully I’ll get the HP Deskjet F4180 All-in-One Printer, Scanner, Copier to complete the computer accessory part of my home office.
