After receiving some negative comments about the old theme, I decided to customize Dev Lounge’s Lounge2 Wordpress theme. The code was very easy to work with, and there are some much better elements on the new theme.
- Featured Articles - I can featured articles on the homepage and present the top content in a much easier fashion
- Sidenotes - Lounge2 also comes with a Sidenote feature to display short little burbs that don’t require any entire blog entry.
- Easier to Access Content - Instead of placing entries on the /blog/ page, I moved them to the homepage, one of the busiest pages on the site.
- Custom Look - The previous theme was too generic and simple. Hopefully, this will give my website a more unique feel.
